18 Aldine ISD Graduates From Class 2015 Named Jesse H. and Mary Gibbs Jones Scholars

Jones-Scholars-Program-1Many students in the Class of 2015 are breathing a sigh of relief. They received significant funding to help pay for college. Houston Endowment named 18 Aldine ISD students Jones Scholars. They each qualify for annual scholarships during college and university years ahead.

As Jones Scholars, these high school seniors are eligible to receive up to $16,000 toward a bachelor’s degree.

High schools nominate Jones Scholars each year. A panel selects recipients based on academic achievement and economic need. The panel also looks at leadership skills, community service and personal character.

Houston Endowment seeks to create a community where the opportunity to thrive is available to all.
